Special and heavy freight transport

Bulky, heavy objects are not always easy to transport. If the destination of the cargo is on the roof of a high building or in rough terrain, positioning a crane for the job is often out of the question. Either it would be too expensive or technically impracticable.

A helicopter, on the other hand, has numerous advantages, especially in difficult terrain. In both urban areas and rough terrain, helicopters can safely and quickly transport their loads and set them down with precision. In comparison to a crane, a helicopter is more flexible and can also place different loads at different locations without any unnecessary delays.

Feasibility check and price indication

Our first consultation with you is free of charge. It consists of a telephone conversation in which we will ask you for the main details concerning your planned cargo flight and can immediately check whether a helicopter is suitable for the operation. In addition, we will estimate the time needed to obtain all the required permits and can therefore give you a realistic flight date. Last but not least, we will give you a reliable price indication.

Planning the operation

Based on the details you provide, we will determine the appropriate helicopter for the planned cargo flight. In addition, we will also provide an experienced crew consisting of a pilot and ground staff. During our site visit, we will gain an impression of the local conditions and will define suitable open areas on which the helicopter can pick up its loads and, if necessary, land. After the site visit, we can produce a detailed risk assessment upon request.

Because we liaise with the local authorities, you can relax in the knowledge that we will obtain all the necessary permits for you and take care of all bureaucratic processes. If necessary, we can also inform the local residents so that the crane flight does not surprise or worry anyone. We will work out a precise schedule for you in advance of the flight so that you have a complete overview of the planned procedures at all times.

Carrying out the operation

On the day of the flight, one of our cargo flight experts will oversee the operation on site. In this way, we can ensure cargo flight is carried out quickly and smoothly. We will also conduct a comprehensive safety briefing for all the employees and contractors involved. In addition, we will liaise with all external companies on the day of the flight and monitor compliance with the planned transport sequence. If roads or other traffic routes have to be closed for the flight at short notice, we will also organise those and will take care of coordinating them on site.

As cargo flights often provoke strong media interest, we can also help you in dealing with journalists, if required. We would be happy to provide media representatives with an interview and explain in more detail how the cargo flight will be carried out. If you are interested in obtaining professional photos or video recordings of the mission, we can help you here as well. We will be happy to provide you with comprehensive video footage, or professional photos, after the mission has ended.
